- I rarely post about my actual work here, but I'm happy to share that I have a new paper out in RSC Soft Matter. In this work we used molecular dynamics to study small penetrant dynamics in model polymer glasses and connected them to existing theory. Check it out: pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a...

- Reposted by SamThe USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
- Reposted by Samevery trans person i see post about the OU suspension knows that the suspended target is trans & a grad student, & has an innate awareness that this is about purging trans employees. every cis person i see thinks the target is a rando professor & that this is about giving conservatives good grades

- Last week our graduate union at Penn accomplished something amazing. In GETUP's first ever strike authorization vote, two-thirds of all grad workers at Penn turned out in favor of striking to settle the contract we've been negotiating for over a year. Back in the bargaining room next week!

- NKRC was extra special this year, even though it's always the best part of my summer. racked up 202mi of running and 23,000ft of climbing in the last two weeks and solo summitted two mountains I've wanted to do for years. can't wait to do it again next year and also every other year forever

- I'm still mad about this. Here's my question: if federal or NCAA guidelines change in the future, will Penn reinstate Lia's records and issue her an apology for doing this? At what point do the retroactive changes stop?

- it's so amazing how all of Zohran's highest-visibility endorsements are from people who are good and cool and all of Cuomo's are from people with documented personal and financial ties to Jeffrey Epstein
- Zohran might win tomorrow, but even if he does, the job won't be finished. He needs to trick Andrew Cuomo into saying his own name backwards on camera in order to finally put an end to all of this

- Employers don't resort to tactics like this, to piling up spurious legal challenges, or to hiring lawyers that bill over $1000/hour unless they know that their status quo depends on mistreating workers and they will have to change their ways when they actually have a seat at the table.
