I should add a voice assistant to my 3D printer, I feel like that would be a pretty genuinely nice use-case especially when I'm working on its insides. Mind you it's named Nitori (after the Touhou Project character) so the activation phrase would have to be "Nitori-chaaaaan~"
iirc someone on some 3D printing discord i'm on had (has?) a printer which speaks in some character's voice
i *think* it was Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia but not 100% sure
..then there's me, with Scaevola, i'd have to listen to a weird mixture of latin and.. binary noises if i did that
Feb 6, 2026 16:36for reference my other printers are LPT002 'Hadron' (which is actually a WIP PCB mill), which would require an actual voice, and LPT003, which i will name either Caprix or Khepra and would have pretty much the same situation as Scaevola
