Hell, my aunt (an associate prof of polisci) is white herself and she's not okay. I can't imagine being a POC having to deal with white kids telling you you're wrong about the thing you're experiencing first hand.
If you know any academic teaching about whiteness and white supremacy this semester, make damn sure you take the time to buy them a drink, to check in on them, to make sure they're okay.
We're gonna need it.
