- Blessings upon whomever finally got through to the people in charge at Disney that they could actually make the Muppet Show again and it actually just.. be the Muppet Show and be excellent.

- Being outside the US I am mildly sad about missing Super Bowl stuff, but devastated about not having a live feed of the Puppy Bowl.
- Going through the Record Store Day list and there's an album called Loguerhythms, which I misread as Logarythmics and I was so intrigued that there was a calculus based Eurythmics cover band, I already pictured them wearing Devo helmets and tunics with those little exponent figures on them.
- American Pie. I hate that song so much, I want the Chevy to drive off the levy and sink to the bottom please.
- I'm on a mission to introduce my daughter to hip hop since she likes rap and music discoverability in the streaming age is shit. Mad props to Ramesh Ranganathan's BBC2 radio show because if I tell her something is interesting she doesn't care but she believes him for some reason and it's been great.
- I fear my online energy is a drunk person at the bar who wants to interrupt your conversation about the Super Bowl to tell you about how much I like the movie Nope and that fuckin scary chimp.
- I've finally found a book about writing craft that doesn't make me want to stab out my frontal cortex, so that's nice.
- Went to see Iron Lung at 2pm on a Tuesday and the theatre was full! I am really surprised, good for Markiplier. I wish more rich people would fund creative projects instead of spending their time and money on making life worse for not-rich people.
- I just need everyone to know that I found a DDR machine today and it had End of the Century on it and freaking 20 year old muscle memory came through. Like riding a bike, baby. I'm super cool.

- I love it here in the UK so much please let me stay, I swear I'll start spelling color with a u and everything.
- The National Theatre production of Doctor Strangelove does some amazing work mixing screens and special effects with the talents of Steve Coogan an eerily persistently timely environment of governmental war mongering and ridiculousness.
- Who wants to come over and we can listen to REM and stuff zines into empty cassette cases? My mom will order pizza and then she promises to leave us alone.
- I need more discourse around the fact that kid in Stranger Things had a Sega Hang-On machine in his room. I wannnnnnnnnnnnt iiiiiiiiiit right now I still hear the music in my head when I shut my eyes and dream of Village Inn Pizza Parlor. Why does that kid get one, I'm an adult! And not fictional.

- I got a notification that a book is being delivered today but I have no idea what book it is! it's like Christmas, what did I order? When I was still drinking random stuff would show up all the time, so this is a treat.
- I love the movie Speed so much- the magical physics, the ability to go over 50 mph in LA, if it was any more of a fantasy thered be dragons. My comfort watch.

- My husband justified his 3D printer by presenting me with an epic Bender. May he look over my desk and forever invite everyone to bite his shiny metal ass.
- I can’t believe they’re gonna restrict Pornhub in the UK before I get to find out if that girl ever got unstuck from the washing machine.
- Melania is going to get the palm d'or at Cannes as soon as they find the opener.
- Hell hath no fury like a group of moms with a WhatsApp group and a mission.
- In general the news around Youtubers doing anything in the larger media is pretty lacking, but Markiplier actually making a movie out of that sweet little indie game Iron Lung and taking it into an international cinema release ... I mean.. that's pretty goddamn baller.

- I don't know how to do anything today other than watch a slow motion car crash.
- About to talk to my family in the US and I don't know if i should first ask about the ice storm or about the ICE Storm.
- Almost done with the rewatch of all the Hunger Games movies and I want to end it with some words about revolution and oppression but I’m too hung up on Mockingjay having no business being two movies.
- My child just asked me "Do you know who Adam Sandler is?" and my instinct was to shout 'they're all gonna laugh at you' but she's 9 and I'm not gonna traumatize her. I mean, i'm sure I will but I'm not going to with 30 year old Adam Sandler quotes.
- Surprisingly interesting time to rewatch all the Hunger Games.
- Reposted by Shelley Franklin CollumAs tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today. ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.
- I am 46 years old and it's still my dream to work at Empire Records.

- How many times in a row can I wear an Animaniacs hoodie to school pickup without getting some sort of reputation? let's find out.
- Reposted by Shelley Franklin CollumIn solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.
- I’m actually on pace to meet my word count deadline, so I’d like to thank caffeine and the belief that the first draft actually can be completely terrible because it gets you to the second.
- I love that people feel comfortable dunking on idiots- it's great, they're idiots. The problem is, you're platforming their idiotry, so I have to be assaulted by their nonsense and then you appear and sassily say something. I'd rather just... not see the idiot and hear what they have to say, thanks.
- My husband got me an Apple Watch and I fear I am a disappointment to him because the only thing I care about is that Snoopy will do a little dance on the face.
- That website with a cache of episodes of Pop Up Video is doing the Lord’s work.
- Someone asked me why I do most of my writing on a dumb 1996 word processor. Today I sat in my office, set up Scrivener on my PC, carefully arranged my keyboard with the proper wrist support, & instead of writing played Cook, Serve, Delicious. That's why. (I'm so good at Cook, Serve, Delicious.)

- I'm currently reading Lonesome Dove, and now I'm in the mood for cowboy movies. What are the best in the genre? I've seen Stagecoach and that one from MST3K that was really actually good- Gunslinger. What are the hits of the lasso-bronco-high-noon genre. Oh I just remembered I watched High Noon.
