Jan 28, 2026 19:38I saw a post where a teacher was telling hist students they could use AI to brainstorm for their writing work and it just gutted me. How do you not realize that you are encouraging students to atrophy their creative problem solving skills? I just don’t get it.
A teacher isn’t just supposed to literally teach a student to do a Task. They’re supposed to equip them with the capacity to Learn in the future. They need to be guides so that these kids grow up Thinking. Give a man a fish type beat!!
You can pry brainstorming and imagination out of my cold, dead hands. It’s fucking difficult work. But if you don’t do the work, then you’ll never be able to make something with your own voice—poured from your own cup. And that just breaks my heart.
