- Perhaps I have deepened my understanding of stupid. Bonhoeffer's Theory Stupidity is not a lack of intelligence, but a mental paralysis where a person becomes a "tool" for slogans and catchwords. Dangerous Nature: Unlike evil, which can be protested, stupidity is impervious to reason and logic.
