This unlocked such a wave of nostalgia. I count myself so lucky to have done my major in American Studies. I could name so many more communications / leadership / writing classes that had a deep impact on me and that informed so much of the success I've had in tech to date.
And yes, Beginning Ballet was real! I challenged myself and I had a phenomenal experience.
Jan 31, 2026 02:07Remembering the Native American Lit class where I was exposed to so much beauty; another class where we spent half a semester analyzing Paradise Lost and I discovered a whole universe in a text; an honors seminar that challenged me to think about meaning in my life.
A class on globalization and social justice where I got to think about the effects we have on each other; a class on the American Presidency and the expansion of the executive and the problems assisted with that (...prescient); Media & comms where I learned about how worldviews are shaped.
Very, very grateful for my education.
