Vol. 1 of GQuuuuuuX on BD obtained! Too bad Amazon didn’t ship Patlabor 1’s 4K with it.

A couple of comparisons from the BD (1+3) and Amazon versions (2+4). Small animation corrections to the shadows on the BD in the lower right and left. Interested to see if I notice any other tweaks. The BD definitely wins in the compression department though (assuming Bluesky doesn't make it worse)

What's interesting is there is a lot of extra noise in the background of the OP on the Amazon version, and not just in the shot I posted but also on the title card which has similar art. Almost feels like oversharpening causing them to be more prominent than they should be but I'm not sure.

Some more screenshots, this time of the English subs. Not the usual sub font on subbed Gundam discs from the past. Can't decide if I like this better or not.
