Award winning author of historical romantic adventures. Also writes as Melinda Hammond
- Reposted by Sarah MalloryNo joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition. Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
- Reposted by Sarah MallorySick of all the whataboutery. Starmer needs to stick tight as he is definitely the right man for the job. Why should he take the tumble for Mandelson... he's not his keeper and I believe he makes the decisions he makes and has made with the best intentions. No ill intent. Just NOT in his DNA ever!
- Reposted by Sarah MalloryThe British mainstream media is busy trying to oust Starmer, again, and yet they seem not at all interested in a much bigger and more serious Epstein story involving Farage, Putin, and Brexit. Fortunately, @bylinetimes.bsky.social is.
- Yes please. And maybe not bill it as a romance....
- Reposted by Sarah MallorySome interesting reporting in the New Statesman. There was a shortlist of four to be UK Ambassador to the US. Starmer favoured George Osborne. It was Morgan McSweeney who pushed for Mandelson.

- Reposted by Sarah MalloryI love when my translators have questions. The splendid Mikael Cabon in France needs to know if a river in Written on the Dark flows into the sea or into another river: his word choice will be different. When translators are careful it is a gift to an author AND a reminder to protect them from AI.

- Reposted by Sarah MalloryWilliam Ewart, who died #OnThisDay 1869, was an MP for 40 years. Alongside campaigning for the abolition of the death penalty, he took a leading role in the establishment of free public libraries and came up with the idea for what are now known as ‘blue plaques’. (He has one of his own in Hampton.)
