So remember that dawn and dusk are long. At midsummer you can read a book outside but the sun goes down after 10 pm and rise at 3.30. Midwinter it rises at 8.45 and descent at 14.45. The change is slow around solstice but now we are gaining almost five minutes a day. Going from 6 hours to 18 hours
I just finished a book set in the Shetland Isles, they get similar light to you. 19hrs of sunlight, although it never gets dark in the summer. They call it the "simmer dim".
Good word. You can never see stars in summer as the night sky is so light
