- I sat in on this interview! Super interesting stuff on how Indy came together, how MachineGames plans ahead and growing the studio a bit (but firmly keeping its identity intact).
- Reposted by Samuel RobertsNew episode! We're joined by The Guardian's @mackeza.bsky.social to talk about her new book, Super Nintendo, which is out now in the US and February 12th in the UK. Listen wherever you get podcasts: open.spotify.com/episode/5L2z...
- My little brother has got into Baldur's Gate 3 – not usually his sort of thing. "What prompted that?" I asked. His response: "Well it has some of the character relationship stuff I liked in Persona, and I like turn-based combat because of Final Fantasy. But honestly Sam it was mostly THE TITS"
- Ah, now to explain to my solicitors what 'The Back Page' is so I can buy a house – as well as this mystery Heisenberg-style figure in my PayPal accounts called 'Matthew Castle'.
- I have a new rule on TV: if someone from Ted Lasso is in it, I'm out! (Except Anthony Stewart Head.)
- My inbox is going to be popular 🥵

- Explaining why a bit in Chrono Trigger is cool to a mate in a pub but ending it with "...and yes, a frog man is also there."
- Foyle's bookshop in London now has more yaoi than Marvel and DC comics combined (two shelves to one). You have to respect it.
- Actually a queue for the new M&S Food Hall in Bath before opening. Most middle class city ever.
- Did one mission of Red Alert before work, and just one cheeky blast of those sound effects and that music healed me on a deeply spiritual level – so did watching 40 lads get zapped with a Tesla Coil in 15 seconds (the lads were mine).
- Watching The Avengers, and remembering how updating TechRadar's Marvel movies in order list (which was an SEO monster for years) basically made me hate them for about 5 years. I may still hate them, deep down! No human is supposed to think about them for more than 10 minutes.
- Reposted by Samuel RobertsReally proud of this @pcgamer.com cover story. I got to talk to some really cool people at Bethesda and Obsidian about Fallout, and @robertnjones.bsky.social did one of my favorite back pages in awhile!
- Demanded £150 back from my electric company then immediately spent 60 quid of it on a ticket for an all-you-can-drink beer festival 🙏
- I gave this one star out of five for 360 Magazine. And yet...
- Tall Sluggo is my least favourite cryptid.
- I have multiple group chats now where I'm negotiating things like, 'if you put down the 30 quid for ARC Raiders/Helldivers 2, I promise we will play it a minimum of 4 times together. I will even stump up 10 quid of the cost if it gets this over the line."
- Good month ahead 🙏 (Dave Scarborough is back on though 😬)

- Wonder Man on Disney Plus being highly watchable was not expected. Two episodes down and I'd almost recommend it to a non-superhero fan.
- I've never identified with a character in a superhero movie more than latter day Jon Favreau using his CPAP machine in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
- Just got so much biscuit on myself on the train that it appalled the person next to me into moving seats 🤌
- There's something strangely evil about those Beatles film images. Like we've entered the Boomer endgame somehow.
- If I could make one of these weekly, I would. Also, I would have no time for anything else.
- Reposted by Samuel RobertsI wish this chatbot on chess.com had a different line of dialogue for when it starts to lose
- HMRC payments on account, mate. But when my energy providers are raking in interest on my money...they never give it back without a fight.
- The first season of this was magic (also shout out to Ronald Gladden for not getting cancelled in the meantime since it aired). Curious to see this spin on it. www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/j...

- *me using Google Translate to read Swedish games sites* "Er...I'm sure that's just a translation error."
- Me: "How's the job search in Cardiff going?" My brother: "I hacked my PSP today."
