Last Monday I had open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. I was discharged yesterday.
The story of me and my heart is a long, complicated one but 21 July 2025 is an inflection point.
During recent months & esp. the last days, my wife has been my rock, as well a source of support to other family members. I don't know how, but she found the time & desire to make this amazing piece to give to the cardio surgery and transplant clinic that looked after me so well. My wife is awesome.
