As of February 2026 the city of Minneapolis and its residents have been formally nominated for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize by The Nation magazine. The nomination honors the community's nonviolent resistance, solidarity, and mutual aid efforts in response to federal immigration enforcement operations.
