- Reposted by Siennaagain we do not really do a good job of explaining how wealthy people like Jeff Bezos are his net worth is $253.2 billion. so he could take one million dollars, and just light it on fire and then do it again tomorrow and again the day after that and then do it every day for 693 years and 8 months
- Reposted by SiennaThe wealthy and powerful have always and will always try to weaken and eliminate the arts. Our rebellion is to make art anyway. Enjoy art anyway. Attend the theater. Laugh with comedians. Read books. Go to concerts. Watch movies. Enrich ourselves with diverse ideas. Relish art.

- Soil surveyor in Death Valley yesterday. Mountain-town Children’s librarian today. “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Too much. Obviously. (I’m kinda tired 😅)
- To say I enjoyed it might be an understatement. Thank you for this masterpiece @robgmacfarlane.bsky.social I picked it up while traveling and the threads of it were woven with uncanny accuracy through my adventures of the past few months. It was everything I needed.

- I always feel like I need to add a disclaimer to my climbing photos: “it’s just a V0. I’m not a real climber. Your warm-up is my project.” But I’m trying to stop doing that. I would never bully another climber, I’m going to try to stop bullying myself.

- Take me back to golden afternoons on Norwegian cliffs. 2025 held some unforgettable adventures, I’m cautiously optimistic for what 2026 has in store. #rockclimbing #travel #climbing
- Victor Frankenstein is such a “boy mom”
- Reading this by the light of a cheap craft-store candelabra, like Mary Shelly intended.
- @alixeharrow.bsky.social has achieved what I thought impossible: a poignant, relevant, AND satisfying fantasy/romance/adventure novel, that is ALSO a believable and enjoyable time loop. This is a groundbreaking masterpiece. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
- When we lose Joann Fabrics what we are losing is the privilege to create bad art, to fumble through learning a new craft with cheap materials, to keep going back for more because we fucked up the first few tries.
- Chappell Roan said parents are in hell and she’s right. But you are lying to yourself if you think you are not in hell just because you don’t have kids. The same broken systems making parents miserable are causing everyone to suffer. We need to stop talking like parents DESERVE to be in hell.
- Desert field ecology techs and bank robbers share one thing and that is fleek anonymous fashion. You can’t identify me and neither can the sun.
- The crowd of people in the REI parking lot waiting for it to open on a random Thursday are an interesting sampling of humanity. We are are adventurous! We are bold! We forgot something important!
- Fun little v0 at groom creek. Please don’t say anything about the top out😅 #climbing #bouldering #outdoors #adventure
- Feeling inadequate because I forgot a very important decimal point at work, so I’m gonna treat myself to an afternoon espresso on an empty stomach. That always helps.
- This here is a nice rock. “Steampunk” v2 in Moe’s #bouldering #climbing
- Tips for editing? I am picking my way through my first novel-length manuscript, what is the beta? Is it better to do it all at once? Should I do a read through first and then go back and make changes?
- Get swooped! By a rare endangered California condor. They were really showing off that 9.5 ft wingspan for us. When I was a kid there were only 20 of these guys left in the wild, it is such an honor to see them soaring. #birds #birdwatching #nature
- #bouldering isn’t even my most pointless hobby, it gets worse. 😅
- May I present my sourdough cinnamon rolls. I thought I was craving a little treat, but actually I am craving external validation.

- 6 years ago I started writing a novel about an evil tech billionaire who crowns himself king of America and I Really wish I’d finished it like, three months ago.

- I’ve heard the most racist/homophobic/misogynistic things said by people who voted democrat. And I’ve seen trump voters be kind and neighborly to my trans friends. Maybe beneath the political bullshit we aren’t as different as they want us to believe. Love your neighbor, then eat the rich.
- Invasive grass species in the Sonora have made the desert so flammable. There was a majestic saguaro here in September. Nothing is left of it but the hole where it stood and the ash outline where it fell.

- Just did my first non-fiction personal essay writing workshop. Why am I so tired? Why am I jittery? I feel like three coffees no lunch. I have wormed into subterranean caverns that were less terrifying than that.🤢

- Not my favorite. Kinda fun, kinda spooky “what if the titanic got lost in space” vibes. But the protagonists repetitive internal dialogue got irritating.
- This one is lush and visceral. Perfect read if you currently have a Neil-Gaiman-shaped hole in your literary heart. It’s like American Gods but with wholly original batshit characters. Cons within plots within cons.
- What if satanic aliens did the American military industrial complex? This one’s a fun read for people who enjoy theoretical math headaches. It might even satiate your appetite for brawny Vikings with unshakable moral compasses.
