- I'm about 2.5 scenes away from finishing a first draft of a new book. Normally I'm racing to the finish line at this stage but lately I'm just so disengaged from this story (though I'm very fond of it!) Does anyone have any advice to get over this last hurdle?

- Another day another commute that could be a 45 min drive, should be an 1 hour 15 min train, but actually is a 2 hour journey door to door because the Irish transport system is beyond useless. I hate it here

- I've to wait for a few hours in an unfamiliar town and have found the cosiest corner in the local library to settle in. Countless books to hand, computers to get some work done, lovely librarians that don't mind if you just hang out without having to buy anything. Libraries are truly a wonder
