Suffolk Sue
Migrated from the hell hole and found it much better for my mental health here. I live a quiet retired life in rural Suffolk, UK with Himself who is finally working part-time in the wind down to retirement, 12 yr old arthritic dog, 2 cats and 6 chickens.

Blackmail countries which have significant human rights concerns to take back people who often should not be being sent back and then celebrate it by threatening more countries with similar blackmail. Labour really is digging down with its xenophobic policies. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

- Quite.
- Reposted by Suffolk SueImportant paper. Schools are high-risk environments for respiratory disease transmission MAINLY because classrooms are underventilated. This problem has a workable solution - it just needs political will. Air quality is as important as water quality for public health. MT @martinmckee.bsky.social
- Our paper modelling transmission risk in schools is published in Nature Communications. **The relative contribution of close-proximity contacts, shared classroom exposure and indoor air quality to respiratory virus transmission in schools** doi.org/10.1038/s414...

Long used by government officials and by researchers, educators, and journalists, the database was taken offline today.

- I wonder why he's admitting this now, of all moments, just as the odds have shortened on his getting into N° 10, cos Mandleson scandal. Surely not because he's frit of the scrutiny governing will bring, as it is doing in all the councils reform are "running"? www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

- Reposted by Suffolk SueMost of our media is studiously ignoring the Epstein links to Brexit, Farage and far right populism. Farage is being touted for No.10. He wants an even more extreme Brexit. A race to the bottom to sell us out to this global network of oligarch crooks. Why TF isn’t he being investigated and stopped?
- Reposted by Suffolk SueMaking it make sense: Epstein wasn't a global mastermind. He did not orchestrate a vast conspiracy that led us to today. He was a very rich man with connections to other very rich men. The shared culture of these men is that they have a right to dominate and abuse others without consequence.

- Reposted by Suffolk SueLabour's changes to immigration rules, including potentially applying them retroactively, would be some of the most draconian anti-immigration policies in decades. - Reposted by Suffolk SueUltimately, the global web of corruption and debauchery exposed in the Epstein Files is too big to be just handled by journalists. We need an international answer to this on a Nuremberg Trials scale. Those trials weren't run by journalists, but by lawyers and military not-unaccustomed to evil.
