- Reposted by Rose MarksThe January issue of New Phytologist is online now, featuring on the cover @roseamarks.bsky.social’s article on the physiology and genomics of the resurrection plant, Myrothanus flabellifolia. doi.org/10.1111/nph.... (I’m posting here for Dr. Marks, who is currently doing field work off the grid)
- new paper! this one holds a special place in my heart--it's the project that brought me to South Africa--just a short 6 years later, we have a product Myrothamnus is a resurrection plant with deep cultural roots. it's been a privilege to study this iconic species that survives with so little.

- Reposted by Rose MarksThis was an incredible, international, tree-of-life spanning collaborative effort led by @roseamarks.bsky.social. I had fun and it was great model for how we can start to reach across disciplinary barriers and silos. @naturecomms.bsky.social #interdisciplinary
