- Thinking of Happiness Etc., the Michael Laskey/Jack Laskey celebration of Michael’s poetry (as well as his 80 + years on the planet) is taking place this week at the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, on Saturday (13th at 7.30) and Sunday (14th at 2.30).

- With sorrow we mark the death of the great Irish poet Michael Longley. He published more than a dozen collections of poetry, the most recent, Ash Keys, on his 85th birthday. He lived in Belfast and I like his description of himself as a ‘sentimental disbeliever’.
