- To be fair, with the total absence of public facilities in urban areas, ‘Pissing in the Street’ shouldn’t really be an offence. Whereas ‘Shitting on the Government’… deserves everything he gets.

- Wasted a few minutes in a record shop today. Straight to the Jazz, mostly cheap compilations, trad/dixieland, stuff I’ve got or don’t want. Just the one album looked good, reasonable condition, wound the phone up for a listen, yes, very good. Flipped the sleeve over, £75… left shop, went to pub.
- Tonights ‘Pubs in Pictures’ is The Balloon Tavern, a Watneys house which features in a 1966 film starring David Mason ‘The Deadly Affair’, latterly a Bruce’s brewpub called The Ferret & Firkin In A Balloon Up The Creek Without A Paddle, now a gastro pub called the Lots Road.
