- Man, what a day! Summit of Oakes Peak in the North Cascades yesterday
- I’m 31 now! To say it is has been a crazy year would be underselling it by a lot. I haven’t had a longer one in quite some time. But between a new place in Seattle, lots of friends, family, and finally getting a new job, I got a lot of reasons to be hopeful for this next one!
- Love the places you can see in just a week here, from scablands desert to 10 feet of snow!

- A consequence of the Borsuk-Ulam theorem guarantees that, at any given time, there are two points each on opposite sides of the Earth that have the same temperature and pressure And I found a tool that looks up live weather data and finds those points! Super cool!

- I’ve been having fun in WA, but there’s a whole lot I miss about the Northeast Weird as it sounds I miss the amount of local chains everyone unquestionably loves. Dunks, weggies, Wawa, Sheetz, market basket… ain’t no way people here would be rallying around Artie T
- this class has had me thinking a lot about category theory, so naturally I am now gonna learn me some Haskell

- I’ve been auditing a grad-level topology class and it’s been a ton of fun! Nice to be in a school setting again with motivated people, and it’s really cool subject matter
- Maybe I’ll go hiking this… oh, nvm! Feel like it’s been a light wildfire season, hopefully it doesn’t get much worse!

- Additionally, I’d love to know the origin story of “Wolftit Peak”
- Abernathy Peak, Eastern Cascades are a totally different character! There’s a list called the Bulgers and I‘ll think I’ll make it my next project. Some peaks are easier walk ups, others I’ll have to climb rock and glacier with other folks. Abernathy along with the 5 volcanoes makes 6/100!
- Made it to the top of King County, Mt Daniel! I honestly had no idea the county stretched so far east Sick day, sooooooo many pretty turquoise lakes up there
- I really should fullsuit more, it’s so much fun being a wolf!

- Glacier Peak! Definitely one of the best trips for me, such an interesting geologic area with the raw glacier/volcano terrain. Just super beautiful! Still my favorite place in the world
- Gonna climb Glacier Peak this weekend, then I’ve climbed all the active volcanoes of WA
