- Time and time again, I see NPWS submissions and reports ignored & overlooked Take a look at their submissions for development/forestry - there is no real desire to give NPWS the power it should have NPWS raises concerns over dairy plant water abstraction - Agriland.ie share.google/oGMuY0uiqEYd...
- This article sums up everything wrong with deer management atm. -Onus on an understaffed and underfunded NPWS to "fix" the problem. - Soundbite from a politician who would give out if staff taken from tourist role - Highlights one area returns when all of Kerry has high deer impact. And..... (1/2)

- The same week in which the Nitrates Derogation was pushed through. This Government doesn't care for nature and climate, and is incapable of making things better. The majority of public won't notice the impact, until its too late. We need everyone angry about this now.
- Ireland’s natural habitats decline further with 90% officially in poor condition www.irishtimes.com/environment/...

- This is climate change. This will keep happening closer and closer to you, until it's you moving.
- You can't do anything better for the soul than give space to native flora and fauna.

- Climate change means your seasonal wardrobe is redundant! You need to fight for your right to wear cute jumpers at certain times of the year.

- Reposted by Rewilding IrelandInteresting(!) that these captive-bred ducks for sale in East Yorkshire seem to be unringed in very many cases. Baikal, Blue-winged, Green-winged Teals, plus Garganeys. Dread to think how many end up in the wild and in local bird reports... #ukbirding

- People are too concerned with the term "Biodiversity". This is leading to bad planning and bad programmes at the expense of nature. Ecological integrity is a better method through which to operate, but much harder to define.
- Reposted by Rewilding IrelandWater hemmoraging from Natura2000 peatbog in Belgium's Haute fagne. Deep drainge, bad for biodiversity, floods, summer droughts. For the sake of uneconomic spruce plantations. A priority for RestoreNature

- This is bull. Steen has done no public service and had ample time to prepare a campaign if she was actually bothered. Sheridan wasn't bothered to have documents right for LA meetings. Who else came close to actually trying to get on the ballot? Far-right twats who wanted the free publicity?

- One of the main issue with nature in Ireland is it is only viewed through the lens of production. "Money should be spent on agricultural habitats because we are an agricultural landscape" is repeatedly used as an excuse for bad science and poor policy.

- Cherry Laurel on the march from gardens into woodlands. Crazy that the government has not acted on the Citizen's Assembly's recommendation to ban it for sale (How many years ago was that?) The alternative of Griselinia or Portugese Laurel are not good either. Nothing wrong with Holly, Yew etc
