- Once again, I beg you, people advertising watching rugby in pubs - do not encourage people to bring balls to watch matches on TV. They are entirely unnecessary.
- Reposted by Robert Wrightcan't help but think there is probably a corrosive effect of having sex trafficker-elite emails unveiled for months on end as one of the biggest cultural/news stories of the last year— unearthing an inexcusable moral rot in the upper echelons of power—but without any real accountability/justice

It’s grimly amusing that a reputation laundering strategy prepared for Epstein by a pr firm that I read in the docs earlier had as its first point: Distance yourself from Prince Andrew… Former prince discussed with Epstein ways to get round investment rules www.ft.com/content/6b2f...

- This evening, Radio 4 had a programme about the 50th anniversary of the release of Taxi Driver, followed by a programme about the 100th (approximately) anniversary of the publication of Mrs Dalloway. So now I’m picturing Travis Bickle driving round listening to a show about 50 years of Mrs Dalloway.

- I had an epiphany this morning. I am an emotional labour shirker.
- Facebook keeps serving me adverts like this, encouraging me to book spaces in pubs to watch the Six Nations. So let me reiterate a point I’ve made before: it is not only unnecessary but positively unhelpful to take a rugby ball to the pub when watching a game on television.
