- And, as the article points out, identifying what is and is not a gun part is not a task a machine can reliably do! It's not something a human can reliably do! The number of both false positives *and* false negatives makes the whole thing untenable.
- Is it reasonable to make it illegal to manufacture firearms without certain regulations? Sure, that's reasonable. Is it reasonable to make the tools which can be used to manufacture firearms enforce your laws? No, it is not. You can't tech your way around something that is not a tech problem.
