- You can go to www.REIvote.com to vote in REl's annual board of directors election, now until January 31st.
- CALLING ALL REI WORKERS: make your voice heard, tell us what matters most to you in our National Wages & Benefits Survey! Here’s what early polling from our coworkers across the country is looking like for top priorities at REI.
- Last week, our National Bargaining Committee met with REI to kick off the first round of our national bargaining process!!✊ Our bargaining committee is made of 22 coworkers from all 11 of our union stores, and it was so empowering to sit down with REI as one and negotiate over our Co-op’s future.
- We're excited to share an update on our progress in bargaining with REI! This past week the national bargaining committee and REI came to an agreement to establish a national bargaining structure to inform store-level collective bargaining agreements for the 11 unionized REI stores.
- Last year, we unveiled our Ten Essentials for a Better Co-op. Since then, we’ve added more stores to our movement, plus we’ve seen some big changes to REI’s leadership, so we wanted to revisit some these essentials and discuss how pivotal they are to the future of our Co-op. 🧵👇
- POV: We’re hard at work printing, packaging up, and mailing out over a thousand letters featuring YOUR messages to REI’s leadership! It’s so empowering to see so many REI members all sharing the same vision for our Co-op, and it’s even more impactful to see everything here on paper.
- A group of REI Union workers recently attended the 2025 Anderson Awards to connect with other green vests about what it’s going to take for REI to restore trust this summer. Here’s what this opportunity meant to our coworker Ashley from REI Greensboro 👇
- We’ve been encouraging REI members to write to our new CEO Mary Beth Laughton about the changes we need to see in order for REI to be a more democratic and progressive Co-op. We’ve already received over a thousand submissions, with more and more coming in every day!
- Check out this great episode from Rock Fight Podcast reflecting on our victory in REI’s board election and what REI should reasonably do next, given that they’re under scrutiny from thousands of Co-op members who all want to see real reform across our Cooperative.
- We recently played a game of “True or False” with REI members to see how much people know about REI’s track record of anti-worker behavior! Members were frustrated to hear that REI isn’t the Co-op they thought it was, but it’s not too late for us to turn things around.
- BREAKING: A longtime REI member from Seattle is suing REI to demand they release the FULL vote count from this year’s board election. 🧵👇 www.cascadepbs.org/news/2025/06...
- Our coworker Sam from REI Berkeley is dropping by to share his reflections on why our victory last month in REI’s board election is such a milestone for our movement! He has a clear vision for what we need to see next from REI’s leadership - and how we can get there together.
- How are REI members feeling about REI’s long track record of union busting and corporate decision making? Sad, disappointed, and frustrated are what we heard most while chatting with Co-op members and union supporters at the Outside Festival this past weekend.
- We recently stopped by REI’s Outside Festival to chat with hundreds of Co-op members about how we can keep working together to return REI to its roots! The union solidarity was strong, and we had lots of productive convos about what it’s going to take for REI to restore trust this summer.
- Chicago is a Union Town! Last weekend, we rallied outside the Chicago REI store to stand up against union busting and demand that REI bargain a fair contract. ✊🔥
- Long-time REI members like Carla from Bellingham, WA, recognize how important it is for us to ensure REI continues to live out its founding values - especially as our public lands and the future of our planet are under attack.

- REI’s Anniversary sale kicked off this past weekend, so we rallied outside REI Durham to celebrate OUR two-year union anniversary and stand up against union busting! The energy was electric, the solidarity was strong, and what’s a union rally without a working-class anthem? ✊🤠
- IMPORTANT: An alarming report from the National Employment Law Project (NELP) reveals that REI workers of color are often subject to racial and other kinds of discrimination - both in their schedules and while doing their jobs. 🧵👇 www.nelp.org/insights-res...
- Our big win made it into the headlines across a few different publications! In this new piece from @huffpost.com, we see some inspiring words from our coworker Megan at REI Union Durham as they reflect on what our victory means for REI green vests nationwide: www.huffpost.com/entry/rei-me...

- WE DID IT! We won REI's board election!! REI just confirmed the news in their annual member meeting, and we couldn’t be more thrilled and empowered! This victory is a massive step forward for our movement and for the future of our Co-op.
- Now, we can get started on bringing democracy and true Co-op values back to the forefront of REI. To kick off this new chapter, we’re demanding that REI install Tefere Gebre and Shemona Moreno on the board of directors.
- REI is holding their annual member meeting tomorrow, and we’re demanding they release the FULL results of the Board election so members can see how many people are ready for reform! Can you go drop a comment on their Instagram posts or reshare this demand full transparency?
