- Reposted by Rachael HouseFriends, Claudette Colvin—the 15-year-old who refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus in March 1955 & joined the federal case against bus segregation that went to the Supreme Court — died today at age 86. But there are lots of myths and mis-impressions about her. A short corrective thread:

- Reposted by Rachael HouseVery sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

- Good evening I’m tabling at The Feminist Library winter fair on December 6th, Sumner Rd, SE15. For this event, in recognition of the gender pay gap, this fierce mermaid advocate for trans rights, clean seas and rivers will be on sale for the feminist low price of £5. Look forward to seeing you!

- Good afternoon. Here’s an intersectional tree of knowledge for Trans Remembrance Day, honouring those we have lost to hatred and violence. My tree also symbolises room for growth and much needed change in the world. Ink drawing from 2022.

- Reposted by Rachael HouseThe reason the Right are so invested in the myth that the arts have no value isn’t because the arts don’t generate wealth (they do); it’s that studying the arts teaches people to imagine better ways of judging the value of an idea than by counting how much money it makes…

- I stuck my riso print to cardboard to make a placard for a demo yesterday, protesting all the sewage dumped into our rivers and seas. I didn’t know the demo was cancelled due to the weather. The walk in high winds was bracing and enjoyable anyway!
- Reposted by Rachael HouseFarage’s plans to abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain would ruin lives and tear families apart. Rather than dismissing Reform’s xenophobic proposals as 'unrealistic' or 'unaffordable', our government should be clear that they are cruel and unjust. We must stand up for migrants' rights.
