- Going to NCECA? Stop by Woodbine Food Hall on Thursday night, and say hi 👋🏻
- A couple of decal mugs, bound for NCECA.
- I realized that I never officially introduced myself on here, so here’s a quick bio: My name is Adam Miller. I live in Minneapolis and teach High School ceramics. Growing up on a hobby farm in central Minnesota, I use animals from the area as his inspiration for my illustrated work.
- Rabbit mug, fresh out of the kiln. Anybody going to NCECA? I’ll be selling some of my cups at Only Pots Popup (Woodbine Food Hall) on Thursday night.
- Little mouse bowl (In-progress)
- Opossum bowl (in-progress)
- Wiping back the black underglaze wash… …this is always one of my favorite steps in my process 😊 Getting my second batch of cups ready for NCECA
- Tea set demo I was playing around with at school. I like the idea of the matching handles 🤔 We’ll see where it goes.
- Making a few fun (slightly simplified) pieces for my school’s annual Empty Bowls event.
- “Another boaring mug” Pig mug It feels like spring in Mpls today, and the snow is all melting 😎
- “The kids are alright” Goat mug For some reason, whenever I make a piece with a goat on it, it ends up getting ruined in someway or another. Maybe it’s been long enough that the curse is broken, because I really love this one. 🤞🏻🙌🏻
- “Spitting image” Llama mug (in-progress)
- …the rest of the process. I originally thought that the decal process was going to save me so much time 😅
- Working on decal cups today. I print out the image at 110% of the original, cut it out, and use it as a masking stencil for making my background. #mugs #myprocess #paperstencils
- Explosion trifecta I have been using the comic explosion to represent a feeling of chaos and anxiety in my life…so, don’t expect me to be phasing that out anytime soon 😵💫
- Happy Valentines Day! This raccoon and a bunch of friends just came out of the kiln and they are excited about coming with me to NCECA 😉 Catch me and my friends on Thursday March 27 at Woodbine Food Hall from 6-9 🙌🏻
- “Time to Feast” Fox tumbler Who else loves the look of a dark clay body? 🙋🏼♂️
- “What’s going on?” Opossum tumbler Especially smitten with the dark pink glaze on this one. 😊
- “The time to hesitate is through” Raccoon mug New batch fresh out of the kiln. Really happy with how the turned out. I’ll share more soon.
- Teaching a student how to monoprint onto his mugs. I think he did pretty well for his first attempt 😊
- Whisky sippers in the works 🥃
- A pile of new stickers for NCECA
- Nothing to do now but keep my fingers crossed and wait🤞🏻…or I could throw a bunch more mugs😉
- Another mug from my last batch. Hoping to glaze fire my next batch this weekend…what a crazy week 😵💫
