Kasey Kagawa: I do think that this is a Clinton-era Dem affliction? Neoliberalism put very little demands on Democrats in Congress to actually do any real legislating that made anyone they cared about (business) mad, and so the swing towards Doing Things was not welcome and "too hard" I think.
