- Last week in the United States of America, Congress began fast-tracking nearly 20 bills in a massive effort to enact massive censorship on the internet, decimate your ability to use computers privately, and severely restrict free speech online. youtu.be/q0hE4EM7RRo
- Reposted by Privacy GuidesThe thing to understand about "age verification" laws is that they are not just for kids The only way to "stop kids from doing xyz online" using age-gating is to demand a government ID (or invasive biometric face scan) from EVERYONE. This means associating your gov ID with EVERYTHING YOU DO ONLINE
- Showing ID online isn't the same as showing it to a human offline. Each time we provide our official ID or face scan online, this data risks getting leaked, stolen, or accessed by corporations and governments alike, to track our online activities and attach it to our identities.
- Privacy Guides supports @fightforthefuture.org's campaign against online ID checks. Add your voice to the protest! 🗣️ ✊ www.stoponlineidchecks.org #StopOnlineIDChecks #Privacy #AgeVerification #KOSA
