Frank Borzage, about the rise of Nazism (starring Jimmy Stewart & Margaret Sullavan). It so infuriated Joseph Goebbels that he banned it in Germany & also all MGM films. www.youtube.com/watch?v=p12s...

- Reposted by Jess Bowersbetween sharks and spades you are in a sad pickle and peril, poor lad
- "The Beekeeper's Picnic" on Steam is one of the more charming Sherlock Holmes things I've seen in a long time. Reminiscent of old-school Sierra and Lucasarts adventure games while packing in the references for us geeks.

- There's a thing on here about "posting a book from the 80s" and I realized that everything I read in the 80s that felt fresh and new was from the 60s and 70s. This is because I was a child during the 1980s.

- I am so "not ready" for the holidays. Which has me wondering if I've ever felt "ready" for the holidays since I was a child, free of the holiday-magic-making obligations that settle upon women's shoulders like a mantle as soon as they reach the age of majority.

- I ordered a new wall calendar for 2026 because I cannot function without analog organization. It blew off of the front porch before I could go outside to get it. I hope this isn't a metaphor for the year to come.
