In the US animation industry, ~$20 USD/hr is the absolute minimum amount you can be paid for your skills; most art-focused roles make more than that. If you do pixel animation for less, you’re undercharging, especially if you have several years of work experience!

Don't work under minimum wage for *any* job. If your client wanted to pay less they'd buy one of your asset packs.
Your hourly should reflect your skill, but clients are commissioning you because they like your style. Know your worth.
