I believe the last time the Penguins played in Buffalo right before the Olympic break was in 1998 (Feb 6) I was at that game it was a 2-2 tie.

Since we’re reminiscing, I’ve been to two Buffalo games. The first was when Mario scored the goal off the faceoff and won the bet with Mark Madden (2002?) The second was when Mario came out and announced they’d secured an arena deal to keep the team in Pittsburgh. I think we won in a shootout

I was at the face off goal game. I remember him looking right up at the press box after he scored. lol.

Yep haha I was sitting up in E somewhere behind the net where he scored. Was the BCS championship game that night??? I feel like I was watching Maurice Clarett play against Miami that night later on

Oh man I don’t remember. That might be right tho bc I would have been back home around that time because I worked for an educational institute and we got almost all of Dec and Jan off.
