- The absolute easiest way to signal virtue at this point in time is to flaunt one's 100% lack of association with Epstein. (Note re: men doing this, they could have still been up to whatever else with whomever else! It tells you very little!)
- Real throwback to the earlier MeToo days when men would be shouting from the rooftops about how awful it was what *that* man was up to... and then soon enough, they too would be exposed.
- Also bringing me back to the MeToo phenomenon of the same stories functioning as feminist galvanization and male titillation. There are many reasons men can't stop talking about how terrible terrible all those young girls girls girls, and they are not all savory.

- Tangential but: there is a phenomenon I've long observed online wherein many people imagine they're talking exclusively to 24-year-olds. It's most obvious in let's say gendered situations (women are presumed young and single which is weird when you're very neither) but carries over elsewhere.
