- I finally watched kpop demon hunters and DAMN it made me miss seeing got7 live...... 😭😭😭 I liked it more than I was expecting, despite the subtitles being awful!!! I tried both PT-EU, BR-PT & EN, and they NEVER translated the Korean parts of the songs nor the bits of KR that the characters spoke
- PT-EU straight up /ignored/ it - leaving blatant GAPS in the songs and speeches, while EN "simply" put romanized hangul on the screen - so also /not/ translating it.... 😬
- while BR-PT did /seem/ to attempt to translate everything, the translation was more like a MASSIVE localisation instead..... 😫 because the songs subtitles were WILDLY different to what they were actually singing.... 🫠Sep 21, 2025 18:24
- either way, none of these translations DARED to acknowledge the Korean bits embedded the movie's storyline and background..... 😬 I'll have to watch the official MVs on YouTube to actually KNOW what they were singing in the /full songs/.... 😓😓
