- Carney’s speech in Davos is troubling for those who believe in international law and human rights. He calls it a “fiction” that was useful to Canada bc we benefited, so long as we kept quiet about the “gaps between rhetoric and reality”. Kudos for calling out our own hypocrisy?
- This has been my view for some time. Trade is important, but in this current global environment there are bigger concerns. The US needs to understand there are consequences for its actions.
- CAF needs to consider whether Brig General McBride can be permitted to participate in an operation that poses a serious risk of violating international human rights law.
