I used to think people were bland or ignorant when they were uninterested in sports or politics but I finally understand.
Parenthood combined with work has successfully and completely melted my brain.

An acquaintance asked if I was looking forward to being a grandparent .
(I’m 64 and my eldest son is now Australian); my reaction was somewhat curt.
FFS I need time to recover from parenting.
