- Just found my new favorite typo in the book I'm currently reading: "Shaken to the core, he fell prostate."
- Post a ship that's not Star Trek or Star Wars.
- Thinking about formative influences today. I saw Terminator, Alien, and Predator all at 7-8 years of age. I proceeded to look up xenomorphs and yautja on dialup AOL. I was introduced to the Dark Forest idea at 11 (book: The Killing Star), 10 years before Cixin Liu wrote the Three Body Problem.
- No new pictures. Where are you at mentally?
- Hey author type people, don't forget to check and see if your works were affected by the Anthropic settlement and if so to file your claim. Payment claim deadline is currently March 30. And don't just assume you're unaffected, I'm nobody and I was on there.

- www.ft.com/content/d0b7... No thank you.
- Did I have a tiny emotional breakdown this week and delete a draft with 40k words in it? Yes Was it cathartic in the moment? Yes Do I regret it now? ...maybe
- I know they wanted to shoot him. Because they did. What, 6 times? 8? So if he wanted to shoot them so badly, if he brought that handgun and extra mags there to kill ICE agents, why didn't he? They were distracted initially. Why record them with a phone if he came there to shoot them?
- Right. The Boston Massacre. The Boston Tea Party. The fucking battles of Lexington and Concord. The colonists just loooooved "law enforcement."
- EMERGENCY CAT PIC
- UBI experiment #1,000,000. They say the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. That applies when the results are positive, too.
- My job sent out an email informing us it was our responsibility to make sure we have a way into work regardless of circumstances, with the winter storm inbound this weekend. The fuck does that even mean. If the roads are closed, they're closed. I don't have a sled dog team on standby.
