- Please listen to every Californian telling you Gavin Newsom is a terrible choice and you should not anoint him the Democratic nominee for 2028. The only thing Gavin Newsom actually cares about is Gavin Newsom. He will sacrifice anyone and anything you care about for his political ambitions.
- Californian politicians do not have a great record when it comes to the presidency! Richard Nixon was previously a US senator from CA. Ronald Reagan was previously the governor of CA. They are part of the reason we are in this mess in the first place!!!
- This doesn't even get into him running on a state-run single-payer healthcare in & dropping it, or efforts to change the asset test for seniors and the disabled to include the value of their primary home, which would kick them off Medi-Cal and IHSS or render them homeless bsky.app/profile/thei...
- We don't have to be preparing ourselves to settle for this guy when we haven't begun the primary. I am very specifically talking about the primary here for a reason. The general election is a bridge I will cross when we get there, but we are very much not there yet.
