- And.as if I need to say more, elected officials are "vetted" by their positions, i.e. HR & Senate members on the Intelligence comittee can via their positions request access up to and including SCI and SAP (Special Access Programs) if they require such access TO CONDUCT OVERSIGHT. Not so for aides.
