I saw a video recently where someone kept saying "underage men." Doesn't that sound absurd? Why? Why is using "underage women" acceptable, especially in reporting? Maybe because so many influential men in media were happily corresponding with Jeffrey Epstein before and after his conviction?
Also, "underage women" isn't a thing. If they're under age, they're not women. That's what under age literally means.
It's absolutely maddening how much describing real events with documentary evidence makes you sound like a bonkers conspiracy theorist
At least reminds me to work harder at not calling women "girls" and figuring out a way to more clearly signal the differences between "dude" (exclamatory), "dude" (derogatory), "dude" (interrogatory), "dude" (appreciative), and "dude" (gender neutral).
There's at least a sixth "dude" I can hear but can't put the right descriptor to. Like, the one where the "knock it off" part is unspoken? Kind of exclamatory but with a command or maybe a plea under it?
