- The place to do an invasion movie where the Coast Guard is the one responding would be the Arctic or Antarctic tbh. Yes I have given this a lot of thought. ALSO- what I really want? A Coast Guard SAR game…but in space. I have the entire thing mapped out. Lol
- Ready for a funny story? So…there was supposed to be a Coast Guard component to the Battle for Los Angeles. Instead it ended up being one scene of a CGI Coast Guard cutter getting blown up. Why? Well…
- Reposted by Ana Visneski"wait now you want to get rid of ALL the abusive & monstrous people???" Yes. Yes we do. There are more good people than bad in every industry, whole scads of people who'd never in their wildest dreams think of being systematically horrible & ask to be rewarded for it. Wild but true!

- Reposted by Ana VisneskiCNN is reporting the real reason Trump is closing the Kennedy Centre for two years is not for renovation: “the Kennedy Center does not have a 2026/2027 season. There would not have been any programming to announce."
- Reposted by Ana VisneskiFar-right Americans want you to believe that having nice things is impossible, and that serving billionaires is the only thing you can do. This is a lie. The rest of the world has solved many problems Republicans pretend are impossible.
- Motherhood costs Danish women an average of $120,000 in earnings over two decades, according to a sociologist who researches family and economics. Generous government benefits like paid leave, childcare and child allowances recovered about $100,000 of that loss. buff.ly/pAtuCS0
- Oh this is going to be interesting.

- Reposted by Ana VisneskiI’ve been writing Popular Information for 8 years, and this is one of the most important stories I’ve ever published. This is a humanitarian crisis that has gone unreported.

- Reposted by Ana Visneski1. It's been more than a day since 2 of America's most storied newsrooms, CBS and ABC, reported that killer ICE agent Jon Ross suffered "internal bleeding" based on unnamed sources Since then - No other news org has confirmed the story - No evidence (photos, medical records) has been produced
- This is disgusting. AI generated art has no place at Comic Con.

- Reposted by Ana VisneskiSo a CBS Evening News reporter actually did a pretty solid breakdown of the ICE murder video, talking to a former agent who details all the ways Ross messed up. And yet: It didn’t air on the actual show tonight. CBS did post it to YouTube—and it has nearly 800k views already youtu.be/6ywLEESFDu0?...

- Reposted by Ana VisneskiAll righty -- this year's writerly resolution is live, should you care to read it. The tl;dr is it's actually quite an optimistic read, so hopefully it'll give you some juice to kick open the new year and put words to stories that need to be told.
- Hey network I could use some help- An indie author friend of mine hired an artist for her book cover…only to find out that the artist scammed her an used GenAI for the image. My friend is devastated. She needs an artist to help her get a new cover, but since she is indie money is tight.
- Heading into 2026 waiting for news on so many things- will the agent that asked for my manuscript pick me up? Will I get into my first choice law school? What about those companies I am talking to about gigs? Come on universe I’ve been busting my ass…
