I am sure that the Iranian people, totally devastated by the West-imposed sanctions and brutally oppressed by their regime, would want to get rid of the regime at any price. This is 100% understandable and having been there myself I cannot possibly blame them.
However under the current global climate we know for almost certain that the current Iranian regime's "replacement" will not be a fully democratic regime that would serve the best interests of the Iranian people. It would most likely be a lackey for America and Israel with no real sovereignty.

I guess any history lessons from the Iraq war will have to be learned the hard way by other nations because some situations must be lived through in order to be believed.
I wish only the best for the people of Iran, but I also don't want the current situation in Iran to negatively affect Iraq. God knows we've been through more than enough already and we've paid our dues a hundred times over.
