- One thing I do that looks weird in public but I don't care is stretches and movement while waiting to board a plane. Like honestly, we've got plenty of sitting ahead of us, this is my blood's last chance to flow for a few hours.
- Without even knowing what anime was, two of my favorite childhood shows were actually dubs - "Belle and Sebastian" and "Tranzor Z," a heavily-Americanized "Mazinger Z." 80's TV was filled with giant cartoon robots, but "Tranzor Z" made for one crazy-ass deep cut. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL9V...

- About time fur me to appear at another event, don't you think? Stay tuned...
- Flashback to that time when a castmate in a play wanted to share cigars with his fellow men in the show in order to demonstrate the virtues of being a cigar guy. I did not become a cigar guy.
- I think we all know who's impeding this essential project... CAM WINSTON!
- Man, digesting this news* about MST3K and I have FEELINGS to sort through. (*Joel Hodgson sold off his co-ownership of the show and all assets to SHOUT! Factory and they've brought back the Sci-Fi Channel era trio of Mike/Kevin/Bill to produce four new episodes co-branded with their RiffTrax work.)
- Potentially big day in Thurkettle country tomorrow, folks. If you've got some extra karma you could skim off, I'll appreciate it.

- Not sure why it is that animators keep hitting monster home runs when they parody mobsters but I'm just grateful to live in a world where it happens.
- Introduced some friends to "Innerspace" and Jesus Murphy, Martin Short's character works as a checkout clerk at a Safeway and he has his own Silicon Valley apartment and enough savings to purchase a cruise vacation, such different times.
- Her greatness is woven into so many of my favorite stories. One of the best to ever do it and a non-stop creator of joy. I don't even know where to start. This one hurts. www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/c...
- Reposted by Nicholas Thurkettle - Voice ActorI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free
- I remember how Guillermo Del Toro argued that WHAT you depict in art isn't the point of art: "What did that guy Van Gogh paint today?" "Flowers." "Huh. Some painter he is." It's the process of pouring yourself in, striving to capture something, that reflects in your work. Never skip that part.
- Got to see "Hard Boiled" on the big screen in a 4K restoration with a couple of first-timers. We've lost this level of delirium-inducing action chaos in movies. I will always love John Woo for deciding that the way to introduce the most lethal cop in Hong Kong is to show him playing jazz clarinet.

- Another yes for "Pizza Time Pizza!" We'll be in the lineup for the 15th annual Short. Sweet. Film Fest in Cleveland, Ohio in March. That makes EIGHT fests plus an Honorable Mention for a film I shot with a 10-year old consumer tier camera on a budget of $587. Woo-hoo!
- Reposted by Nicholas Thurkettle - Voice ActorGenuinely the only thing keeping me going—but it really is keeping me going—is how good it is to see people link arms and push for this to end. I cannot stop thinking about how much love people can have for their neighbors, and how much work and money is poured into breaking that love apart.

- My only reason for wanting another "Doctor Strange" movie is that with the fullness of time I realize one of my greatest joys in the MCU is watching Wong inflict psychic damage on Strange.

- My first visual VO demo reel! Love and thanks to my fellow VAs who offered advice on the edit. It was emotional revisiting footage of ol' Wolfie, but it's work I did that I remain immensely proud of, so into the demo it goes. I'm ready to voice your things! vimeo.com/1157651779

- The reason my magnificent invention hasn't replaced all air travel on Earth is that you keep saying mean things about it.

- Okay, somebody game jam "Cozy Woke Up on a Bus Driven by Crazy Man Simulator" already.
- Being a sportscaster is like, an absolutely insane play happens, and when you're grasping for a way to describe it your brain will cough up something like "HE'S A PINBALL WIZARD!" And because you did that, forty years later that song comes on the jukebox at a bar and a bunch of old men weep.
- I made a joke to someone about Yakov Smirnoff and then I got curious and read his Wikipedia page and forget the jokes this dude's fascinating he should be the subject of Timothée Chalamet's next Oscar bait biopic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakov_S...

- Took a day trip out to Borrego Springs with a friend who'd never been before, so I had to introduce them to my old friend the Sand Serpent. Ricardo Breceda's captivating metal sculptures are all over the Borrego landscape but this is the master of them all.
- I've now seen and enjoyed "Pink Pony Club" covers by Rick Astley, Steam Powered Giraffe, and now GWAR. Isn't that a sign of bulletproof songwriting. I would still love to hear Weird Al take his shot because he's the GOAT but what a set of flowers to get already www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5XR...
- I started doing one-on-one coaching for an up-and-coming VA late last year, we've both enjoyed the process and they say they've seen real gains. I'm not automatically the right teacher for everybody, but I may open up to more of this if I encounter someone I think I can help. Feels good!
- First appearance of The Master in "Terror of the Autons!" I love that he would rather hypnotize you than have a conversation over thirty seconds and that his kink is to murder people with degradingly absurd methods like an inflatable chair or a devil doll thrown in the back seat of your car.
- Contract signed! New writing gig commences next month. Going to be awhile before I can tell you about it but it is some cool stuff.

- Damn it, having a healthy pre-sleep routine actually translates into better sleep this is such inconvenient knowledge to have.
- Me, reading Shakespeare's "Venus and Adonis" for the first time: Whoah, this is just straight-up smut. Also Me: Coooool.
- Have to give pops to the SAG Foundation because last week a big money voice audition came through with quick turnaround on a day that I was away from home and I was able to use their solo booth for free. The volunteers were helpful, the gear was great, and I was able to shoot my shot. Thank you!
