Any/All of Shigeru Tamura's short animations, but maybe Glassy Ocean most of all. It aired during early 00's on Locomotion in most of south america (?), along with Noiseman, Blue Submarine no. 6, etc. That channel was a treasure throve of anime and obscure animation from around the world. RIP.
Name an anime you're sure barely anyone has ever heard of that you discovered on your own (no prior recommendations) & wound up really enjoying & wish more people would check out. Share your cool finds with a reply or quote
I have a few, but right now I'm going to go with Shinken Legend Tight Road.
second the screen protector and just slightly toned background color for me - I also have specific brush setup I came up with which mimics slightly what I like about sketching/doodling with a brush and colored ink. I can't really work on it if I were trying to mimic sketching with a pencil tho
Nice collection! Comet Girl was a pleasant surprise when I first came across it, I remember it being a fun read but I think the coloring got me most of all.
If you ever plan to visit Portland (which you should, imho) you would want to be able to visit Books with Pictures - so consider donating as a short-term/long-term investment for your future self to enjoy a very cool and cozy comic book store whenever you visit
super grateful to anyone who's purchased, read and shared this comic! There are still more stories I'd like to tell in this world and with these characters but it may take some time🦇✨🌴
🌐🔭📝 data gathering: comics/art mutuals who use patreon: earnings stuff aside, do you enjoy it as a blogging platform as opposed to posting on sm? If you weren't concerned about $$ would you still use or just make something like a neocities blog? asking for science tx
I think it’s decent for blogging, if I was going back to pure blogging the choice would probably be between Patreon or Ghost (both infinitely preferable to posting on sm these days)
hello, here are some of the first pages of my comic for @shortboxcomicsfair.bsky.social this year, along with some assorted pages. If you've ever wondered after a glimpse into someone else's life or if you find awe and whimsy in the mundane, you might enjoy it. Maybe? Idk. October is almost over
I sincerely hope someone out there got my very specific, quiet and simple sense of humor from that page of the last postcard story and maybe smiled or chuckled while reading it
I have a new comic at @shortboxcomicsfair.bsky.social this year which has all the greatest jean fhilippe hits you've come to know and love: we got palm trees, hands, beaches, memories, what else...ah I can't remember so you'll have to read it and let me know
oh yeah, every other brazilian knows how to play guitar and every other restaurant or bar has a solid top tier guitar player just casually playing MPB/bossa nova while people go about
Now available online in english: Naoki Urasawa interviewing Katsuhiro Otomo about his work and his manga "Domu" during one hour.
"Manben" is such a great TV program.

don't know if it's a location thing, but the scoops here on the US west coast seem substantially larger than what we were used to. Like a kid's scoop is equivalent to what I thought was a single
Some of the interior illustrations I did for @sarvenaztash.bsky.social 's Queen of Ocean Parkway last year. One of my fav projects to this day ^^ Finishing book 2 as we speak 👀
