- This is horrific. Totally peaceful march with families gassed in Portland.
- 2 blocks away, got a face full within minutes. Burned our eyes, noses, throats, skin. Many were retching, kids, elders could not breathe. - Growing up in NY’s Hudson Valley, Holocaust education included yearly visits from survivors. “Never again” was a huge part of my moral formation. I didn’t expect so many could see acts of violence by authority (even against kids) and want more of that- yet still think of themselves as good people.
