At a joint press conference with Denmark’s prime minister, Greenland’s Premier Jens‑Frederik Nielsen made clear that the island does not want to join the US, preferring to remain part of the Kingdom of Denmark while cooperating with US and NATO. Nielsen reiterated that “Greenland is not for sale.”
