- Having passed through both on this trip, I have to say, for transiting, #Taipei #TPE airport beats #Singapore hands down. It's a few things - the more open layout (can walk anywhere), must easier transit security, and, most importantly, much, much friendlier staff and service.

The real story here is the growing culture of corruption, including a lack of accountability and oversight, that enabled a chain of human errors that led to this disaster.
