Republicans are Republicans. Republicans elected a morally bankrupt criminal billionaire, because he is a morally bankrupt criminal billionaire. Republicans love him, because they know that a morally bankrupt criminal billionaire President will hurt minorities and establish Republican rule forever.

Republicans also want to rule forever, silence all dissent, and be free to persecute minorities forever. Republicans are Republicans.
There is no question that Republicans go along with all of the insanity, because they love what they see now. The more their hero destroys democracy, the more Republicans feel good about choosing him. The more the President hurts minorities, the more they feel good about electing him to do that.
