Strange but true: the first anything Spacemen 3 related I heard was Sonic Boom's solo debut _Spectrum_ (as opposed to the band he later formed). It came into the UCLA radio station on import release, I reviewed it for listening unknowing of him/S3 at all, and from the start I was quietly entranced.
