- There’s no ambiguity here. This is vile and racist. The American people deserve better.
- Under my leadership, House Democrats paved the way for lower drug prices through negotiating. Instead of building on that, Trump launched an all style, no substance website that's sure to benefit his own pockets without lowering your costs. Patients need lower prices, not more smoke and mirrors.
- In Massachusetts, Bay Staters spent an average of over $2,200 more during Trump's first year. So long as this administration continues to attack health care and pursue reckless, illegal tariff policies, hardworking families will keep paying the price.
- I'm proud to have secured over $14 million in Community Project Funds for MA-01. From North Adams to Oxford, these projects will strengthen infrastructure, expand educational opportunities, and improve quality of life for families and businesses across western and central Mass.
- When the IRS is at its busiest, helping workers and families file their taxes in MA and across the nation, Trump decides to drag the IRS into court in an attempt to pocket even more money from the American people. This is his latest scheme—that Republicans are enabling—to rob America blind.
- It’s no surprise that Trump has picked loyalist Kevin Warsh as the next Fed Chair. Over the years, Warsh has only proven how far he will bend to appease the President. 1/
- As millions of Americans are feeling the impact of SNAP cuts in Trump’s One Big, Ugly Law, I’m joining my friend and colleague @repmcgovern.bsky.social at Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Pantry to hear from those being hurt by these cruel and unnecessary cuts. Tune in at 12:15 today ⤵️
- 1/ International Holocaust Remembrance Day stands as a stark reminder of the horrors inflicted upon six million Jews and millions of others during the Holocaust. Today, as communities across the globe continue to confront antisemitism, we are reminded of the urgent responsibility to speak out.
- 1/ Another American citizen has been killed by Trump’s ICE agents. These untrained, unaccountable officers are wreaking havoc on our communities. Their tactics, and these killings, go against everything our nation stands for.
- All of western and central Massachusetts is under a winter storm warning beginning Sunday and continuing through Monday, with snowfall amounts expected to exceed one foot. Make sure you're prepared for this weekend's weather event with these tips from MEMA: www.mass.gov/info-details...
- Last night, I voted against the DHS funding bill. Republicans refuse to demand accountability & reform within ICE, which should be held to the same standards as local & state law enforcement. This isn’t about immigration. It’s about the rule of law & basic civil liberties that define our democracy
- Affordable, accessible, high-quality health care is possible when Republicans choose to work across the aisle. Massachusetts is proof.
- Congratulations to Jonah on winning MA-01's @CongressionalAC! His innovative app, "Health Advocate," helps users prepare for medical appointments and deliver better patient outcomes. I look forward to welcoming Jonah to D.C. later this year. www.berkshireeagle.com/news/souther...
- It’s been a year of needless suffering—with workers and families bearing the brunt of it—since Trump was inaugurated. My full statement looking back on Trump’s first full year in office and the wake of devastation it’s left: democrats-waysandmeans.house.gov/media-center...
- 1/ On this Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. King, whose vision continues to guide our nation. His moral courage, his belief in the power of community, and his unwavering commitment to justice have long inspired my own journey in Congress.
- President Trump continues his illegal tariff policies that do nothing but raise your prices. This time, he’s targeting our longtime allies for failing to hand over Greenland. His feckless leadership is hurting working families and undermining our standing on the world stage.
- 1/ Yesterday, I heard from organizations across MA-01 that provide critical mental health and addiction treatment, all scrambling after the Trump administration abruptly cut funding. Hours later, the administration quietly reversed this decision after public backlash.
- 1/ The President calling the shooting of Renee Good “justified” before any investigation is conducted, and especially in light of the egregious footage that was made public, is disrespectful to the victim’s family and an affront to due process.
- More than 1.4 million Americans opted out of their health insurance because Republicans refused to extend the ACA tax credits before the end of the year. House Democrats forced a vote. We did our part to keep health care affordable and accessible. It's now up to the Senate.
- Trump continues to target the independent Chair of the Federal Reserve, AND his own appointee, for following the data and doing right by the American people. Now he’s weaponizing the Justice Department against him. Getting his way matters more than your wallet or economic stability. Pathetic.
- Video message from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KckG... www.federalreserve.gov/newsevents/s...
- The first year of Trump 2.0 has proven to be the worst year for jobs outside of a recession since 2003. Trump has made clear his indifference to lowering costs and creating jobs. But that only strengthens our resolve to keep fighting for the people.
- This is a good day for the American family. After Democrats forced a vote, the House passed an extension of the ACA tax credits to keep health care accessible & affordable for millions of Americans. I urge the Senate to consider this bill immediately, ensuring no American goes without coverage.

- The people of Maryland and the nation are better off because of Steny Hoyer. From historic legislative achievements to working with me to deliver the federal district courthouse in Springfield, Steny has been a great partner and a great friend. My full statement⤵️ neal.house.gov/2026/01/08/n...
- Republicans and Donald Trump spent all of their legislative might this year cutting taxes for billionaires. Now everyone else is left with higher costs, fewer choices, and an economy that doesn’t work for them.

- As Republicans scramble to come up with a health care plan, they’re pretending HSAs can do the job. Here's why they can't: www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

- The Trump Administration was working behind the scenes to kick thousands of older workers with disabilities off Social Security. We fought back and they backed off. This is why we fight to protect Social Security. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
- Trump and Republicans have made their priorities clear: they’ll raise costs for everyone else so long as it means another tax giveaway for billionaires. That agenda doesn't earn my vote.
- A principled deal was possible, but ignoring the reality of skyrocketing costs doesn’t earn my vote. It’s just another day in Trump’s economy for workers and their families. For that, I'm still a no.
- Whether it’s at the grocery checkout, in the doctor’s office, or on their energy bills, Americans know the Trump economy isn’t working for them. Burying a job report won’t change what they’re feeling. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
- Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a titan of this institution. This country is stronger because of her patriotism, her example, and her unwavering belief in America’s promise. I wish my dear friend, Speaker Pelosi, and her beloved family every happiness in this well-deserved next chapter.
- Today, I watched the legality of Trump's tariffs argued in front of the Supreme Court. This case is about more than that though—it's about bringing down prices and restoring Congress' power.

- Trump promised his voters that he’d lower prices. Since then, he’s only raised them. People can’t take any more of Trump’s tariff tax. It’s why I, together with my colleagues in Congress, am continuing to fight these tariffs at the highest level. democrats-waysandmeans.house.gov/media-center...

- People are already feeling the sticker shock of their skyrocketing 2026 health care premiums. We're here in Washington ready to do something about it, but Republicans need to be here too.

- Trump’s attempts to politicize the Fed were always wrong and self-dealing. Today’s rate cut is an example of why it’s important for the Fed to make decisions that are economically responsible—not politically convenient.
- If a government agency has put the privacy of millions of Americans at risk, it owes the people answers. That’s why we’re introducing a Resolution of Inquiry to get to the bottom of the mess DOGE has made at SSA.
- 1/ While 24 years have passed since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the memories of that day, and the ones that followed, have not diminished. May we always hold close the memories of all those who lost their lives 24 years ago today.
- Political violence is a cancer on our society and has absolutely no place in America or our political system. My thoughts are with Charlie Kirk and his family, and I hope that everyone on the Utah Valley campus is safe.
- States should not have to protect themselves from conspiracy theories. I'm grateful to @massgovernor.bsky.social for putting the safety of the people of Massachusetts over politics. RFK Jr.'s pseudoscience has no place at the top of what should be the world's model health system.
- Survivors and the American people deserve the full truth. But last night’s heavily redacted files—97% of which we’ve seen before—fall well short. That is why I signed the discharge petition to force a House vote on legislation to release the Epstein files. clerk.house.gov/DischargePet...
- The President's assault on science will have lasting repercussions for our nation. Freezing $1.4 billion in NIH grants only serves to harm America's innovative edge, while China and other global competitors are doubling their efforts on scientific research. www.masslive.com/politics/202...
- President Trump is unleashing an economic assault. With his illegal firing of Federal Reserve Governor Dr. Lisa Cook, he is threatening the financial security of every American. Politicizing the central bank threatens more inflation, higher rates, unstable retirement accounts, and more uncertainty.
