The U.S. Government does not get to Decide when the Ukrainian people stop fighting. Ukraine is a much older, wiser nation. It's people have a Right to Dignity and self-determination. Until the invaders are driven from the land the war must continue. Tyrrany in all it's forms must be destroyed.

They must pay for every crime they have committed against the people of Ukraine. If you have not lived under such an occupation, then you have no right to make such determinations.
